Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Thomas Tomasik
A graduate of the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Dr. Tomasik has been a practicing optometrist at Sheinkopf & Tomasik Eye Care Associates since 1999. In 2005 he became a senior partner. He has served on numerous state and college councils, committees, and boards while attending optometry school and received many awards.
Dr. Tomasik is interested in general eye care, refractive surgery and contact lenses, with a specialty in difficult-to-fit lenses. This includes lenses for kerataconus, post corneal transplants and post ocular trauma. He has conducted clinical research on both soft and gas-permeable contact lenses for numerous contact lens companies.
Dr. Tomasik comes from a family committed to eye care and to their community. He is dedicated to volunteering his time to the community as the past president of the Rotary Club of Yarmouth, Past Chairman of Newburyport Yankee Homecoming, as well as by holding several positions in the Lions Club of Newburyport.
He is a Paul Harris fellow in Rotary International and has been named the Yarmouth Rotary Club Rotarian of the Year. He is past president of Cape Cod Eye Care Associates, a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Tomasik resides with his wife and three children in Brewster. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, skiing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Ashley Jadene Stevens
Dr. Stevens joined the Sheinkopf & Tomasik Eye Care team in 2016. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston and her bachelor’s degree in biology from Wellesley College. Dr. Stevens is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Stevens completed her optometric training at private practices throughout New England, Manchester VA Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital at Martha Eliot Health Center and Boston Medical Center, among others. She has provided optometric care while participating in humanitarian trips to Belize and is committed to providing the highest quality of eye care to all patients.
In her free time, Dr. Stevens and her husband are aviation enthusiasts. They also enjoy boating across the Cape. Dr. Stevens has volunteered with the Cape Cod and Massachusetts Military Support Foundations since 2016 and serves on the leadership team for a Soldier and Family Readiness Group. Dr. Stevens resides in her hometown, Harwich, with her husband and two dogs.
Meet Our Opticians

Susan Tomasik
Susan has been in the optical industry since 1980. She started as an optometric technician and became an optician in 1983, earning a B.S. in Health Management from Northeastern University along the way.
Susan has been working at Sheinkopf and Tomasik Eye Care since 2003. She and Dr. Tomasik have 3 children together. In her spare time Susan enjoys cycling, reading, cooking, skiing, and scrapbooking.

Karen Buszka
Karen began her career in the optical field in Sitka, Alaska in 1982. After completing her apprenticeship she became an optician in 1988.
Karen has been employed on Cape Cod for 28 years and has been with Sheinkopf and Tomasik Eye Care since 2005.

Cynthia Mayo
Cynthia completed her apprenticeship and took classes at Bristol and Massasoit Community Colleges for Optical Sciences. She passed her American Board of Opticianry (ABO) and obtained her Massachusetts Registered Dispensing Opticians license in May of 2002. She has been in the optical industry since 1998.
Cynthia enjoys the Cape Cod life with her husband, two children and two dogs.
